Shocking News - Cousin's happy moment

It came to my surprise ...but it was a good news for my cousin. Received the good news in the evening of 1st Syawal..and the Risik ceremony on 2nd Syawal... was really adhoc task for me.

2nd Syawal, early in the morning drove from Kuantan to Jerantut ( venue ) and get the hantaran done in just 1 hour. Alhamdulillah all went well. As the risik done, so now wait for the engagement ceremony which going to be held in November 2011.

It's been awhile after my last post...Was pretty hectic with event, engagement ceremony, photo shoot which happened one after the other..and now during the holly month of Ramadhan, i hardly update the current activity as fully occupied assisting my mom with baking raya cookies...alhamdulillah..tq Allah for the rezeki.

Anyway..i'm writing tonite as to update ( not so hot from the oven tho hahah ) the previous assigned task.

Function & Theme : Lecture Series 2011 / Terrorism
Decorator : Maya Puri Creations

Theme for the day was about Terrorism but we do the opposite. And the whole idea was to convey and set up the PEACE message. And used most of the recycled materials as the deco items.
Plant in a pot & pebble stones was nicely wrapped & tied up as a give away for the VVIPs , VIPs and rest of the guest.

Spring-Summer Hand Bouquets

Such a great feeling to be surrounded by warm and fresh colour of flowers. I was asked to get 10 handbouquets done for a local wedding magazine for next coming issue. And now my house is full of flowers ! Most of the them are in summer colours.

Spring: Spring colors are clear and bright, just like the colors of a spring day. The sun is low on the horizon, so everything is imbued with the golden hues of the sun. The trees and grass have not yet matured, so they are tinged with yellow undertones and are a bright spring green color. Distinct yellow undertones impart a vibrant, electric appearance to everything. The colors of this season are truly like a spring bouquet of flowers enveloped in bright spring green leafy foliage: red-orange and coral tulips, bright yellow jonquils and daffodils.

Summer: The colors of this season are muted with blue undertones (think of looking at the scenery through a dusky summer haze). Late summer blossoms, a frothy ocean and white beaches are seen everywhere. Baby blue, slate blue, periwinkle, powder pink, seafoam green and slate grey are typical Summer colors.

Retirement Favors

So here are the pics about the sewing job that make me awake the whole 24 hrs! .. actually it's not that bad to get the favors done but due to my errands, meetings, bazaar has eventually delay my production line hhehe .. the request was to make "Retirement Favor" for a teacher whom going to retire on 5th July 2011. Suggested for a small pouch with face towel and peanut candy to be given to all school staffs.
The design of the fabric differentiate the pouches for female and female :)

Supplies Surprise Bazaar

Both Syam and I participated in Supplies Surprise Bazaar which was held at Bfree, Sunway last Saturday. Due to our busyness and other tied deadlines we didn't really focus in get the things done before hand.. only APA YANG ADA ajer lah.. Most of all pun it's networking. But we had fun even though my mind was somewhere else.. Spinning thinking about my goodie bags which yet to finished! ..

went home after Maghrib and continue sewing and didn't sleep the whole day .. nak catch up deadline punya pasal and got to be in Jerantut the next day...

LittleSyam's Book Binding Workshop

The next morning after wedding in Tanjung Malim, head off to Pieces where my friend conducting Book Binding Workshop 7.

Had a great time there, even just hanging around, taking pictures..just to rest my mind. Pretty much headache with so many things inside my head..but somehow i felt quite relax with calm, nice ambiance at Pieces. Oh ya, Pieces is a furniture boutique own by 3 ladies . It's really fortunate for them to have a place like this...

Terengganu Memorable Journey

Hi there..ya i know i didn't update my blog for a couple of weeks already. I'm not sure myself if i'm fully recovered from Terengganu trip. It was all started early June when i was driving back from i can't remember where hahahah...it was heavy rain and i received a call for this job. From hand drawn sketches, meeting, phone calls, emails , day trip to venue and all i know it's less than a week from the function date !

But alhamdulillah, God's really kind enough to lead the direction despite hick ups and all last minute changes. Great challenge i would say. With supportive crew of course. They were such a great team player.

Launching venue taken place at the Terrapuri Heritage Resort in Setui, Terengganu. Exclusively nice and peaceful remote area. Was informed that "Merong Mahawangsa" also being shoot here...phenomenal !

19th June - Actual day of the event where Seri Paduka Baginda Yang Di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin launches the freshly rebranded Sultan Mizan 2011 Cup. With Coral as the theme which mirror the heritage and treasure of Terengganu as well as the horse ~ both are Nature’s treasures that need to be taken care of to ensure their survival; and both are vibrant and beautiful.

The annual endurance challenge, the newly rebranded Sultan Mizan Cup, is organised jointly by the Terengganu State Government and Royal Terengganu Endurance Stables and will be held at Terengganu International Endurance Park, Lembah Bidong, Setiu, Terengganu from October 7 to 9, 2011.

So Terengganu people..do watch out the competition which expecting 90 riders from 15 countries to compete at the 120 km CEI 2* Sultan Mizan Cup.

23rd May 2011, received a call from NST's writter asking permission to do some cover story about Maya Puri Creations. Pretty much on the technology part as how MPC use the technology in getting the work done. Kinda wonder ..i am to small to be interviewed by the giant newspaper in the country. But somehow, the request was accepted with an open heart.

So the interview was held at my place on the next day. Had a good time with the writter Siti Syameen and the photographer ( oh man i forgot his name..but his kinda kelakar jugak la ) ..Started around 1530hrs and finished at almost 1730hrs.

30th May 2011...the article on paper .. i didn't know until received a text from a friend congratulating the appearance..was only able to get the paper in the evening ( was here and there since morning ).

20th May 2011 - Set up was done at 9.00 pm... till almost 11pm. Prior to that, I had such a hectic move since morning.
Went to Wangsa Maju at 9am , to Pandan Jaya at 1130 am , to Seri Kembangan at 1230, to Selayang at 1.00pm , to Damansara at 2pm , back to Seri Kembangan at 530pm , out again ....to Bangi at 8.00pm ...

Okie back to the decoration done...here's the pic of the outcome ..

After sending of client's frames this morning in Kota Damansara , drove ahead to Sri Damansara coz I just had a feeling to do some baking today and had a good time to get the baking stuff at HOI . Well, since next week i have baking order to be done so might as well get the things ready.

Once reached home, head to my kitchen to prepare the ingredients mainly flour, egg, buttermilk,apple cider, cocoa powder, sugar, cream cheese, red colouring, baking soda, salt, vege oil, cake tin etc...

So, here's my coffee time dessert for the day ... while watching the evening drama show ...

Thanks to my beloved sisters..Sham, Redzlina & Gigie for the lovely trip that we had last April. It was fun ! .. Something that we really looked forward for quite sometimes ... We safely arrived on 22nd April 2011. We checked in at Baan Sabai GuestHouse somewhere around Khao San road. 1st impression ..very clean! .. love to see the tiles ..
Room ?...good conditon and yes CLEAN .. just nice with 2 single beds, aircond and attached bathroom ( also CLEAN ) suits the price of course !.

Once checked in,we went out and have evening walk at the market near by..something like Petaling Street..err perhaps not heheh ... so much stuff that u may find ..and you'll be surprise to see a few nice place in between the building..like a hidden garden / treasure and the deco...phenomenal !!! ..

2nd day off to Bangkok International Fashion/Leather , Gift and Houseware Fair .. make me crazy !! ..how i wish i can get most of the stuff there.

3rd Day ... to Chatuchak Market - Weekend Market ...oh no another crazy place..it was a very hot day ..you name it, they have it...managed to get some craft materials. TEH TARIK pun ada...lupa pulak to take the teh tarik man punya photo...boleh tahan tinggi tariknya..pandai cakap melayu..rupanya used to work in KL..right, no wonder !..since panas sgt, chose to have coconut ice cream..yummy !!

4th day - DEMAM day ... but still okay for free & easy day. Had a chance to pusing2 the city center. Went to Emporium, Siam Paragon, hmmm and i can't remember where .. too weak to remember places that i visited. But ya, had a great tea time tho ! ..

At nite, didn't go anywhere..except rest and slept early..the rest went out for last minute shopping..me ?...hanya tidur layan demam !! ...

5th Day - departure day ... above all, it was a great trip !!! ...

Been assigned for Do It Yourself ( DIY) column in one of the local magazines. Was asked to prepare 6 modules base on paper for wedding favors. Shoot started around 12noon ..2 hours late..reason being the journalist and the photographer got lost of direction.. ( the company should provide GPS for the staff in future heheheh.... ) it's okay while waiting I got my self busy with other projects ...

23rd January - to Labis from Malacca the Historical City. Wonderful journey ..frankly that was my 1st time drove to Labis..and alhamdulillah safely reached Labis. . with the help of my MISS G ( GPS heheh ) ..and 2 other ladies in the car ..Zaklean & Dida.

Had lunch with Dato' Noraini, Zaklean & Dida ..was a great lunch indeed. Thanks Dato'. Also thanks to the stall owner for the delish kampung dish... hilang penat memandu :) ..

Class started at 3pm..happy to see makcik2 kakak2 and adik2 ready for the class...

A week before 23rd January received a request to hold a craft class in Labis, Johore ..sounds pretty far for me ..heheh... Job accepted and within a week prepare segala macam barang for 25 pax which includes :-

A. Craft Bag - Jahit sendiri yer ...:)

B. Clear bottle , spices and remnants

C. Boxes, wrapping paper, artificial flowers, dry foam, ribbons

D. Small brown paper bag, doily paper, string, ribbon

Was a bit "teruja" when received a call from journalist of Jutawan Magazine. And i was busy menggodam mesin jahit at that very moment just to get my craft products done.. Kak Suria tanya..can she do some review about Maya Puri Creations and do some write up... ? .. At 1st i was asking myself .. how a small people with a small thing like me ...ada yg wanted to do write up ... in JUTAWAN Magazine pulak tu ..
tak ker macam mak aiiiii ....how lah...I'm not even stable yet ... but after some notes from her I agreed to share what ever i know ...

And ya the fun part ..the photo shoot & interview was done at the swimming pool area at my place ..kinda santai la jugak .. it's pretty much normal to get the interview and photo shoot done in the house right ? so we do in a different manner ....

Ha, ni another best part .. i was just guessing that the magazine gonna be published somewhere middle or end of November ...so keep on browsing from one book store to another ...until the day I had the bazaar at the Annexe Gallery @ Central Market ... i stopped at one of the kiosk to get a bottle of mineral water then tadaaaaaaaa....... i saw the magazine...oh Man ...It's KRU on the cover.!!!!! ... Hmmm...me with KRU issue ...hahhaha....dapat tempias trio jutawan tu pun jadi lah ...
So, i quickly grabbed the mag and nak bayar....sambil nk bayar...bual2 la pulak ngn tokey kedai ... i said to him ...ha at last jumpa this magazine ...he asked me why ..then i told him ... got my stories inside ...hahhah..yg kelakarnya...tht guy pun was like...really ... come i wanna see ...what page ...so i showed him ...and he was like .."ah, ni 1st time jumpa org dlm magazine secara live !! ... u jutawan ke? "...hahhaha... i said no lah ..not yet ....hopefully tokey kedai tu doakan la kan ....

Been busy till terlupa to update about the magazine cover which was done couple of weeks ago. Received a call from Pesona Pengantin journalist to provide handbouquet ...err 2 bouquets actually for the magazine cover..yeah, again short notice ..nasib sempat.

Anyhow, it was a great time at the set..Belajar la jugak ...tak banyak, sikit kannnn ....

Just after Raya Aidiladha .. had room deco to be done at Kg Melayu Subang. We had spoke and texting quite a lot before deciding to proceed. At 1st tak jadi but somehow dah rezeki MPC kot..alhamdulillah.
Time saw the bare room hmmm kene do some thinking on how to make the room look fresh yet sweet.
So here you are the sweet lil room for Hana & her hubby.. oh ya..also did her hantaran..simple one.

Anyway, the other week I update about Datin Raha's daughter punya engagement..and this post is about her son pulak ...concept sama cuma ada kerusi jer ...heheheh ... since the gab tak lama so she wanted to use the same thing cuma some added value here and there ...at 1st I wanna have the sofa to be slanted to the right and the flower arrangement at the left corner of the sofa..hmm can't do it tho ..due to space constraint ...so jadi jer la like the one in the pic ...*sigh*

Was at her place pretty petang almost maghrib due to hujan and all ... and i have to do all the pick ups ... fresh flowers and the stage .. quite hectic ... and yes, I'm doing it own my own ... only at certain peak stop, my so called project partner assist me to carry those heavy stuffs...thanks Dida .. please help yourself in viewing the pics ya ...

101010 .... most of couples looking forward to tie their knots on this date. And I'm pretty much involve for the said date as well.

Andreas & Kaby is one of them. Kaby who is happen to be my fren's best 'adik angkat' and been liaising with me since March 2010. We have been communicating via emails since she is far far away in Norway.

After all the panjang lebar emails and pictures sent .. we have agreed for the below wedding favor and other wedding accessories.

It was a great journey and my 1st experience ever in cutting, gluing an expensive material for the wedding favor.
Oh ya...lupa to name the items :-

Almost 2 months i didn't update my lil blog..busy with weddings. And been updating only my FB from time to time. Anyhow, i would like to share some pics of my June's projects..special request Bunga Pahar. It's been awhile since i did the last Bunga Pahar project... past 2 years that i can recall hehehhehe ...

So this year my loyal bunga sabun client rang me up to get her brother in law's Bunga Pahar from me. 2 sets this time.. Soap Flower and also the artificial flower. It's sounds tedious but i can't say no to her...heheh..been doing soap flower ever since her sister's & brother's wedding...in fact her wedding's as well :) . Thanks to her anyway.

Then i got this dip flower Bunga Pahar project from my aunt. Maybe for some people ala biasa jer dip flower but for those in the line sure tahu how "leceh" to get it done. Got to be really sabar. In my case..i bunch of bunga pahar consist of 15 tangkai. so times 100 stalk ..1500 pcs altogether. Cutting, twisting, dipping, assembling ....such a long process to do.

Same goes with the soap flower..transformed the solid soap bar into serpihan kecik2 tu...parut la senang citer. then uli pulak with glue n warm water sikit..till jadi some kind of dough. After that buat lah bunga..but my all time favorites still bunga kecik2 tu...enjoy doing them.

Was browsing my FB and commenting @ my friend's status...heheh alhamdulillah, ada rezeki on that day. He asked whether if i could bake cuppies for him. I got to get them done a day before the due date as pretty hectic on the next day. Alhamdulillah siap as expected and delivered on thursday nite. Since the cuppies are for school kids so i tagged them with cuppie signage with school items.
Happy & glad to see the response from him. He loves them!! ..TQ ... Nanti order lagi yer ..

After such a long journey last week .. and get some rest yesterday, i'm now updating my recent favor done for a couple in Sabah. Requested by the groom's sister whom was my former officemate in Shell Shared Service Center. She called while i was decorating my kazen's pagola for wedding as well in Muadzam Shah, Pahang..luckily managed to slot in her request. Alah, ok jer insyaAllah buleh :) ...pandai2 la kan nak manage..
